A Book Package includes everything needed to translate one book of the Bible with excellence. Each one includes a literal translation, a simplified translation, verse-by-verse notes, key term definitions, and short articles on translation issues, all linked to each other and the original languages through our translation software, translationCore. We completed all 27 New Testament Book Packages in 2023, and our team is on track to finish all Old Testament Book Packages in 2026.
Foundations BT (Foundations of Bible Translation) is a suite of resources. The suite is tailored to the needs of primarily oral language groups. It includes six videos, a simple Bible translation framework, and AI-powered access to unfoldingWord’s basic translation guides.
Our first open-licensed resource was Open Bible Stories (OBS). OBS is fifty carefully crafted, illustrated stories covering Genesis to Revelation. Designed as a disciple-making tool and translation primer, it is one of the world’s most translated books and touches lives every day.
