Monthly Regional Highlight – Iran
One of unfoldingWord’s key strategies is the Whole Bible Whole Nation (WBWN) program, which equips church leaders in a nation to manage their translation needs for Bible translation, church planting, and theological training. Instead of only focusing on individual languages, WBWN programs take a national approach to Bible translation. Prior to the recent unrest and internet shutdown in Iran, Transform Iran was working on translations into twenty ethnic languages. Four are complete Bibles; the rest are other Christian materials, such as Open Bible Stories and discipleship materials. Please pray for peace and protection for our Iranian brothers and sisters in Christ.

BT Servant, our newest tool, is a multilingual AI-powered assistant designed to support Church-Based Bible translation teams across core translation functions, including Understand, Translate, and Check. Please pray for our software development team as they take BT Servant tool from prototype to full functionality in 2026. Inventing the future is hard work!

Pray for the citizens of Iran
“Walking the streets is no longer an act of courage. It is an act of suicide.” The brutality with which the government dealt with protestors saw tens of thousands killed in the streets and tens of thousands more incarcerated, expecting torture and execution. Pray for the people of Iran to personally encounter the love and power of Christ in their lives; for the Christians to rise with courage, for the lost to be saved, for the perpetrators to repent, and for the nation to be redeemed.
