Your prayers are vitally important!

People working in the Church-Centric Bible Translation movement face enormous challenges — some of them life-and-death struggles.

Please join us as we pray for these brothers and sisters across the globe as they work tirelessly to reach those who don’t have the Word of God in their language!

Monthly Regional Highlight – Columbia

The national church in Colombia has had neither open-licensed Spanish-language biblical texts nor adequate tools, resources, or software for translating those texts into indigenous languages. Representatives from the Bible Society of Colombia attended the recent Global CCBT Forum and left determined to incorporate unfoldingWord resources into their work. These assets will help the national church focus not only on its local work but also on reaching the 115 unreached ethnic groups living within the nation’s boundaries.

  • Pray for the citizens of Iran

Walking the streets is no longer an act of courage. It is an act of suicide.” The brutality with which the government dealt with protestors saw tens of thousands killed in the streets and tens of thousands more incarcerated, expecting torture and execution. Pray for the people of Iran to personally encounter the love and power of Christ in their lives; for the Christians to rise with courage, for the lost to be saved, for the perpetrators to repent, and for the nation to be redeemed.

  • Mission to the unreached in Africa

In Chad, Sudan, and Benin, translation teams visit unreached villages and refugee camps. Pray for a good reception, clear communication, and safety.

  • Pray for a “person of peace”

Many unfoldingWord ministry partners begin outreach to a new place through Discovery Bible Studies. Pray for a “person of peace” to host these studies in new communities.

  • Pray for newly baptized believers

Receiving Christian baptism in a majority-Muslim nation is a very serious thing, and many in North Africa are taking that step. Pray for courage and protection for these new believers. Pray also that they may form healthy churches.
