One of the many rewards of partnership in the Church-Centric Bible Translation movement is having a front-row seat to remarkable advances in Bible translation brought on by empowering the global church for quality Bible translation.

An essential part of that task is sharing unfoldingWord’s open-license Strategic Language Resources (SLR) with our brothers and sisters in Christ while training them in processes that help them produce their own quality translations.

Our resources are available on a variety of platforms, including the recently developed Bible Well app. Here’s what Bible translators from West Africa said about it after their first training session with the unfoldingWord team:

Many people who don’t have a high level of education can now easily embark on translation work because you have simplified the entire task, making the Bible easy to understand. We can attest to the accuracy of the content in the resources you have provided.

I always thought that to translate the Bible, one needed at least a basic knowledge of exegesis, theology, and many other things. But with this gem, we can now do the work that Bible translation societies do. We can involve our church in this process and win many more souls in our communities.

You have grasped the pressing need in God’s kingdom. Countless souls are being lost in our communities without these resources. The Great Commission will be fulfilled at a much faster pace.
